Villeroy & Boch
A 250-year old company , Villeroy & Boch remains at the head of the
European ceramics industry. This is due in no small part to the consistent
implementation of entrepreneurial principles in each of the three divisions
and our ability to regard the 250 years history as a foundation for renewal
and progress. Villeroy & Boch operate a total of 19 production sites
in Europe and 38 sales and distribution centers worldwide with an approximate
total of 10,500 employees.
Program
As part of a unique program to extend the company’s reach into
the art glass market, Oliver Von Boch selected CLARITAS STUDIOS as the
partner who could support this vision.
Under a collaborative effort between Villeroy and Boch and Claritas,
an ultra-contemporary geometric series was created to showcase the process
and rapidly gain market share.
V&B became the flagship partner for Claritas, distributing the designs
worldwide to their dealer network including Barney’s, Dayton Hudson,
Hall’s, and many more.
Lightolier
For over 95 years, Lightolier has been committed to lighting that makes
a difference for people and business. More than just hardware, Lightolier
delivers the magic and impact of lighting.
Many companies sell lighting fixtures. Lightolier, a division of the
Genlyte Group, Inc., is committed to providing lighting solutions. Lightolier
brings three essential assets to any lighting challenge: talented people,
extensive information support and a 360-degree view of the options and
products.
Lightolier has the widest and most useful range of interior lighting
products under a single brand. Products include Down-lighting, Track Lighting,

Program
As part the company’s desire to differentiate themselves, CLARITAS
STUDIOS was chosen to develop and supply unique new glassware. Two exciting
lines have been developed: Bowshield and Calculite.
Bowshield:
Specifications grade hardware platform the supports a variety of Claritas
Glass patterns. Over 12 styles to choose from.
Calculite:
A series of beautiful fused glass trim rings to soften the aperture of
this specification grade down-lighting system. Over 15 styles in a variety
of colors and sizes are available.
Forecast
For over twenty years, Forecast has created high style, high value decorative
lighting for residential interiors. Forecast is recognized for its design
innovation, engineering expertise, quality of manufacture, and the attention
to detail. Forecast lighting products are timely in their response to
the marketplace and use of technology: timeless in their design and craftsmanship.
Program
Forecast Lighting, the decorative lighting showroom line of parent company
Genlyte (www.genlyte.com) , developed
an ambitious marketing program to differentiate themselves from their
competitors: Defy Convention.
As part of a major product line introduction and new catalog, CLARITAS
STUIOS was identified as the clear choice to provide innovative glassware
capable of meeting the designer’s vision.
To further their market position, Forecast chose to promote the new glassware
under the Claritas brand to increase market appeal. This connects the
lighting designs to Claritas’ efforts in tableware to enhance the
value of each item for maximum impact.
Rosenthal
The culture of the table, porcelain, ceramics, glasses, cutlery, accessories,
but also modern art and furniture, have been created by Rosenthal to provide
you with the individual ambience for your family and for meeting your
guests. Inspired by styles from the classical period to the avant garde,
it is luxurious, timeless and elegant. Rosenthal offers a wide selection
of pieces to create a stylish table culture for special occasions and
for daily use.
Program
Conceived as a collaboration of creative talents, Rosenthal &
Claritas came together to create an exciting new line of Fused-Glass Artwork.
Using the natural colors of the coast; kelp, sand, urchin, and stone,
the
collection captures the new spirit of art glass today. A meeting of ancient
and modern techniques, connecting craft and industry for a bold, contemporary
look of contrast, connections, overlays, and openings.
Mica Lamp
Turn-of-the-century American Lighting design and craftsmanship is available
today from the Mica Lamp Co. We follow the same formula as the original
craftsman. All our parts are made of solid copper, assembled with hand
driven copper rivets and finished with a rich natural patina.
Own a part of a "Made-In-America" tradition.
Program
Mica Lamp turned to Claritas to enhance their market position and diversify
their offerings. Widely respected as the leader in turn-of-the-century
craftsmanship, Mica Lamp saw potential in creating a new line of colored
glass lamps, but recognized the over-saturated market in "Tiffany"
styled products. The result is the Arbor and Glasgow Collections. These
dramatic designs are the fruits of in depth research and study in to new
fusing techniques and represent the pinnacle of Glass Fusing.
